Ee Cinema greatness yentante...I think sometime around 1999 my dad was returning from Gujarat after visiting my sister and was in MUMBAI Central/Dadar to take train to HYD...he had lot of time and went to this MARATHA MANDIR close by station to pass off time...DDLJ was playing! He never before watched a HINDI Movie...from that day till date he keeps praising this LEGENDary Movie! That is the greatness of this movie...yevaraina sare vere movies lo flaws vethakochhi...but ee movie Na Bhu Na Bhaa... Waiting for a good one.. | ||

This past week, the all time Hindi movie hit Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ) has been running for a record breaking 500 weeks in the same theater in Mumbai. The movie theater, the Maratha Mandir that has been showing DDLJ, is located near the state transport bus stand. Since October 1995 the movie has been showing daily at the Maratha Mandir. It is a worlds record for the continuous showing of a single film at one theater. On week ends it still plays to packed houses.
