My analysis: Jagan made some good moves like 1) postponing local results till after main elections, lekapote munde game over ysrp ki. 2) conducting road shows in small centers and never going for big stadium 3) releasing fake surveys everytime there is a positive mood for tdp Tdp made some good moves too: 1) allowing all cong people to join in hordes. Suddenly there was mass hype for tdp. Ntv, tv5 lo T analysts also felt wave for tdp due to that 2) runamafi 3) timing pk in last week of campaign hitting ysrp with full force. Jagan was clueless at that time. He was so clieless he has to ran Ranga murder news item again. This Andhra real estate is for sale. | ||

this was single greatest achievement of Modi.. Middleclass in the past were like detached and non commital about elections. Glad to see middle classes finally woken up and rallied for forward thinking economic policies.. Last time around - UPA solely won based on NREGS and other social schemes.. this time aorund not the case. | ||

It's been a long journey for the past few months and a tense wait for the final results. Except for JP's result, cudnt be much happier overall. My observations on the High Drama which was Elections 2014: 1. Dunno older times, but the wave Modi created Pan India was Na Bhu Na Bha! Never in recent times could a single leader capture imagination of the entire nation with such an everlasting impact. Not even the great Vajpaayee. He was simply there everywhere. Decimated the opposition in some style. North India was literally at his feet. 2. Despite Modi's storm, surprising to note the way Tams hold their own with giving Jaya resounding win. Most of South in fact resisted except Karnataka. In AP too, though his presence was felt, the wave wasn't the same. 3. To say Congress was decimated wud be an understatement. It was simply blown away into near non-existence using a particle evaporating Bazooka. Sonia Gandhi can seriously commit suicide and everyone wud still understand why. Rahul Gandhi was near helpless and raises many more questions on his future and leadership. Time for a bigger role for Priyanka Gandhi? 4. State split definitely helped Babu. Despite his 2 eyes policy, people simply couldn't trust handing over a brand new state into the hands of Jagan. Desperate times warrant desperate measures and their mandate was clear. They just want development, development & development. 5. Telanagana's result was actually on expected lines. Though efforts are ongoing to make KCR look like a 'Neo' who defied the Matrix Modi, he simply took advantage of being the local guy who got the first opportunity to date the new state. T Congress has every reason to kick themselves into the dust and then kick again. 6. In the supposed great face off between MiddleClass vs the labour, we now know who turned up to the party. Also believe that Hindutva vs the others played an important role. 7. YCP's unprecedented overconfidence, literal gobels and the very personification of many things which were wrong in the past few years got it's due from the hands of Andhra public.And YCP today is Jagan, Jagan & Jagan. Nothing else on who their core team was or wat they could actually do. Also goes on to prove that Jagan is nothing compared to YSR when it comes to cunning, dare or strategy. Over reliance on your religion or your father's legacy shall only take you so far. 8. Finally, the best part is all the winning parties making the magic numbers on their own without much help from their allies. TDP too standing on their own in Muncipals & Parishads was a great sign. Modi & PK further strengthened and consolidated their dominance. Congratulations to all those who voted and made a difference. JAI HIND!!! |
