VISAKHAPATNAM: Until Sunday, the YSRCP juggernaut was on a roll, with the party's honorary president YS Vijayamma and chief Jaganmohan Reddy drawing huge crowds wherever they campaigned in the seven assembly constituencies in Visakhapatnam district. Surprisingly on Monday, the crowd in the narrow by-lanes of Swathantranagar in Madhurawada and Arilova, which primarily comprises those from the economically weaker sections of society, was quite thin even though YSRCP's Sharmila was heading the campaign for the party on the final day of electioneering. It didn't stop at that. Many women, who had gathered at the venue, which comes under the Bheemili Assembly Constituency, were seen leaving even before Sharmila completed her speech. Interestingly some of them were overhead talking among themselves. "I couldn't understand anything she is saying," said one woman, to which many of her group members nodded in unison. While that could be one factor, a resident of Swathantranagar, who wished to remain anonymous revealed, "The TDP leaders have already distributed the money yesterday, but the YSRCP leaders have still not done it. People are saying that the local YSRCP leaders have pocketed the whole money and are not distributing it to the voters."
