I meant bond yields. High dividend stocks always negatively correlate to long term bond yields

Another down side for these high dividend stocks is interest rates. Higher rates make these less attractive.

Your Q regarding utilities - AEP seems reasonable. I haven't looked into it in a long time, it's just my 5 min view.

Thanks bro. Interest rate won't reach 7% or will treasuries and bonds go that high?

Jalsa:

normally corporations (in this case Kinder Inc) drop down their low risk mature assets into MLPs. That way they get better return for their assets. As long as they keep growing the asset base, yield is somewhat protected. Yes, you are correct about low capital growth. Another down side for these high dividend stocks is interest rates. Higher rates make these less attractive.

MLP is a limited partnership, they are taxed differently. Normally they focus on CAFD (cash available for distribution) and payout ratio is around 90%. Companies generally use these vehicles for tax efficiencies.

I know kinder very well, MBA lo naa classmate vachi akkada general counsel. Also because they are competition we always keep an eye on their projects. It's a very well run company and rich kinder is an excellent guy. If you want to keep it for longterm, it's an excellent choice.

Also have a look for an opportunity to enter EEP on a down day.

If you guys want steady long term holdings with 10-15% capital return (almost guaranteed) plus decent 3.5% to 4% yield; look into Canadian banks. At this point in particular look into RY and BNS

Awesome! thanks! atlaney utilities lo kooda PEG ki alternative cheppu bro!
BTW, MLP antey enti? KMP is an MLP, KMI is incorporated...
