Very much miffed with poor campaign trails in the party’s strongholds in districts like West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur sources say that TDP president Chandrababu Naidu held brainstorming sessions with the candidates on Tuesday. Naidu seems to have pulled up some candidates for poor handling of campaign and actually spent over 10 hours in analyzing the prospects of the TDP at various constituencies and he also delayed his public meetings in Prakasam. Naidu had reportedly summoned party candidates from West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts to Vijayawada before even checking into a hotel in the city in the late hours of Monday. Sources say Naidu was unhappy with the party’s Guntur LS candidate Galla Jayadev as he received complaints from local party leaders about the campaigning style by Jayadev. Naidu reportedly told Jayadev that he specifically requested Narendra Modi to address a rally in Guntur keeping in view his poor prospects. He also questioned him what can he do if Jayadev cannot change his style. |
