actually six. the other two are X and XLP. I booked 50% profit on 50% of X calls and letting the other half ride. I got out of XLP for a small 16% profit early in the year. Only recent mistake was to sell 50% of PEG at 100% profit; should have held all. well hindsight is always 20-20 | ||

I know very few segments. natural resources is one of the main focus area for me. I see the segment first; the potential upside for the whole segment. This analysis comes from lot of reading; geopolitics, supply & demand; pricing power etc. Once I am convinced that segment has some upside then I will look for best companies or index funds in that segment. If I am buying underlying stock then I look for their dividend history; some technical analysis. If I am buying the options in addition to the analysis I look for the options ITM, liquidity, rick vs reward ratio etc. nothing scientific here, basic fundamental analysis. As long as I get couple of multi-baggers among winners and don't lose the shirt on losers; I am happy. This year the success rate so far is 80%. let's see.. | ||

I bought at $3.60; it is trading around $3.85 It's up to you; Jan 2015 is long way to go. If you are okay with volatility go for it otherwise wait for a down day.. | ||
