Aug 15, 2012 VIJAYAWADA: TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has set his eyes on dominant caste groups in the state and is leaving no chance to appease and mingle with them. After declaration of the BC action plan and taking a pro-SC classification stance, Naidu promised to come out with a Muslim minority declaration shortly. Making a political speech at an iftar hosted by the party here on Tuesday, Naidu vowed not to return to NDA anytime in the future. | ||

Chandrababu Naidu assured the Muslim community here on Friday that his party would take responsibility of fostering communal harmony in the society. Addressing packed gatherings at Pedana and Mahchilipatnam of Krishna district, Mr Naidu defended the electoral alliance with the BJP saying it was forged in order to protect the country’s interest. He asked the Muslim community to not worry over the BJP-TD electoral alliance and said that the TD would implement welfare schemes and reservations for the community after returning to power. Recalling his developmental works in the past, he said the TD government constructed various masjids in the state. Mr Naidu pledged to serve all sections of society, especially the poor and downtrodden. He challenged the people to name anyone they felt could do a better job than him or any other party in the state other than the TD that would better serve the people. He also said, the TD would waive the loans of farmers DWACRA. Naidu pointed out that the whole of the state, especially residuary state of Andhra Pradesh, is in a worse condition than before and several challenges lay before the government. YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, if voted to power would simply utilise the situation for granting bails and extricating himself from corruption cases, he added. Congress led UPA government cheated Seemandhra people and must be taught a fitting lesson, said Mr Naidu and requested voters to teach a lesson to Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy also by not casting the votes in his favour in the forthcoming elections. Recalling his Vastunna Meekosam Paadayatra, he said he was still having leg pains but was bearing it all for the sake of eradicating peoples’ hardships. Machilipatnam LS candidate Konakalla Narayana, Assembly candidate K. Ravindra, Pedana Assembly seat candidate Kagita Venkata Rao, Krishna district TD president D.
