Here the case belongs to NRI. Reinvestment helps for Indians to avoid tax. Is it applicable to NRI also? |

Chillarodu:Is this true? Let's say 1. I bought a property for 10 lakhs 2. I sold this property for 20 lakhs. Technically I have to pay tax for 10 lakhs But as you said, if I invest that 20 lakhs in buying another property. after 1 year I sell that property for 21 lakhs Then if I wanted to get that money back, do I only need to pay tax on my 1 lakh profit? What happens to my previous profit?

Guys, anybody has experience of selling property in Hyderabad as NRI? Is it true that we need to pay income tax of 20%? |
