Mav, Appreciate your friends for the thought - its an education for the birthday kid too.. Its not like the kids in the orphanage do not know why they are there...and they appreciate the treats.. It depends. Konni orphanages lo it is a norm. Meeru orphanage ante cinemallo choosi nattu undavu. They are well run organizations. They take care of the child psychology etc. They restrict you from doing things which affect the child's psychology. cutting a cake, photo etc are all okay. They restrict you from adopting a kid but letting him grow in the orphanage or sponsoring a single kid for some activity etc. | ||

general question.. is it a good idea to celebrate bday in orphanage. i am asking abt celebrating(like cutting cake etc)..not donating gifts/fruits etc to orphanage. i think the first choice(cutting cakes) etc hurts kids and should be avoided?? donating to orphanage or giving them fruits/choclates etc is fine..what do u think |
