Hyderabad: One Tollywood personality who should make the best use of these elections to rescue his career is Jr NTR. The actor, who had distanced himself from the Nandamuri family, especially from Balakrishna, has now got a chance to bridge the divide. This will be beneficial for him as he has alienated the Nandamuri fans because of his differences with Balakrishna. A source from the family says that if Jr NTR lets go of his ego and campaigns for the Telugu Desam, especially for Balakrishna who is contesting from Hindupur, it could revive his career.” TD chief Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh and Balakrishna recently said that they would never send invitations to anyone regarding campaigning. “When you are working for the party, you don’t need personal invitations. You have to come on your own and work to make the party win,” they had said. Though no names were taken, it was very evident that the message was for Jr NTR. “Tarakaratna, actor and nephew of Balakrishna, said that he would stay in Hindupur and campaign for his uncle Balakrishna. Nobody invited or asked Tarakaratna to campaign, he came on his own, because they are all family members. Jr NTR is also a family member and he should not wait for an invitation. If he feels so, he is making a big mistake,” says P. Jagan Mohan, a staunch supporter and founder of NBK Helping Hands. When asked if the fans would approach the actor for campaigning, he says “no”. “We are all busy with campaign work. This is not the time for egos. When the party is struggling it’s the duty of every family member and party member to come forward and help. NTR Jr had already announced earlier that he would give his support. If he comes now, all of Nandamuri fans will be behind him, otherwise we won’t tolerate him,” adds Jagan. According to a source, the actor is currently busy with his film schedule. “Still, he can take out one or two days and work for the party,” says a source, adding that this was a great opportunity for NTR Jr to reconnect with the family. Another source says that NTR Jr’s father, Hari Krishna, was disappointed for not getting a party ticket and this might be a reason for the actor to not campaign for the party. “That is incorrect. Late NTR had announced long back that his political and film heir was Balakrishna. Since then he has been working for the party and never expected any post in return. Today the time has come to rebuild the party and all the family members should come forward.
