IBTL (India behind the lens) latest survey on the mood of the people in two newly formed states (Telangana and Residuary AP) has revealed interesting facts. Seemandhra (Assembly seats - 175 seats; Magic Figure - 88 seats): YSR Congress - 83 seats. TDP - 80 seats. Congress - 6 seats. BJP - 2 seats. Others - 4 seats. The results suggest a possibility of Hung Assembly in Seemandhra region. Of course, YSR Congress has a slight edge over TDP but a lot depends on Congress and Others (which include Jai Samaikyandhra and Independents). Telangana (Assembly seats - 119 seats; Magic Figure - 60 seats): TRS - 60 seats. Congress - 28 seats. BJP - 9 seats. MIM - 9 seats. TDP - 6 seats. Others - 7 seats. TRS which is the champion of Telangana statehood is likely to form the government post elections. Congress will have to settle with the status of main opposition despite making T-statehood a reality. |
