At the time when Pawan Kalyan is seriously contemplating about contesting in the polls, the two main constituencies that are in his mind are Kakinada and Malkajgiri. With huge chunk of Seemandhra settlers in the region, Malkajgiri constituency became the talk of town since Pawan laid his eyes on it. Pawan has finally dropped from the race, saying that he is getting ready for political battle on poll grounds only in 2019 but not at the moment. And now, former Congress leader Undavalli Arun Kumar is focusing on the same constituency. It is revealed that Undavalli will be contesting from Malkajgiri on 'Jai Samaikyandhra' party ticket. This party is recently floated by former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy but the response from people is lukewarm. However, this new branch of Congress as dubbed by political analysts is still publicizing that they are contesting in almost all the places in Seemandhra and Telangana. Forget Seemandhra, but in Telangana the party may eye few seats where concentration of Andhra people is huge. That is why Undavalli has taken up Malkajgiri into consideration. We have to see if 'Jai Samaikyandhra' will create any ripples in Pawan Kalyan's dream constituency. Undavalli Arun Kumar is going to fight with Titans like Jayaprakash Narayan of Lok Satta and Prof. K. Nageshwar as an independent from the same constituency. |
