The fact that data requests were pinging back with "handshakes" to both Rolls Royce and to Boeing means the plane did not meet with catastrophic failure. It was flying merrily along where the only detectable radar was with the transponder turned off as well as the ACAS. They were turned off by the flight crew. The fact the pilots did not report anyone trying to get into the cockpit or that was no Mayday attempt, strongly implies the pilots stole the plane and took it somewhere in a part of the world where there was no ground to air radar coverage. This has been a long held Al Quaida plan to steal a commercial jet. Put a suitcase nuke on it, Take out a legitimate plane with explosives while shadowing it and becoming it, legalling flying it right into New York or Washington and detonating the nuclear weapon. That would make 911 looks like play. If I were US terrorism officials I would ban any 777s from entering US airspace period until this is resolved. All the airlines have other equipment to fly and there would be no real loss of service. If my scenario is correct, it was well thought out, used devout muslims to carry out the plan and it will happen very soon not later.
