Mallikarjun The BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, has put the Andhra Pradesh unit in a dilemma by suggesting that the party have an alliance with the TDP for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. It is reliably learnt that Mr. Modi summoned State president G. Kishan Reddy to Ahmedabad on Tuesday for talks. Mr. Kishan Reddy and other State leaders have been consistently opposing any such move on the ground that it would jeopardise its electoral chances, particularly in Telangana. They want the party to contest all 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha seats in the region on its own and improve the vote base. |
