I always had this issue. But I only bought Chromecast a month back. So maybe this got broken recently. Did you guys figure out a way to cast pictures or videos(Movies) from your local PC to the TV. Please dont tell me about media server approach. Real Player cloud never worked for me | ||

Ustad, this was the default behavior from the beginning anukunta. Ever since i started using chromecast, i saw this behavior. If opening a movie from some website, then we have to do full screen on the PC and leave it like that. | ||

1. Prefer to use a Dual Band router - 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels. Although Chromecast is built only to work on 2.4 GHz channels, having 5 GHz channels available reduces the load off from the former, for other dual band connectivity devices such as mobile phones, and laptops in the household. 2. Prefer to use Chromecast for what it was built primarily. Casting Chrome browser tab practically involves screen-sharing over-the-air, which is a load on your device, OS and processor. In such cases, curse the device performance before doubting on Chromecast. 3. Chromecast is not entirely ready for 5.1 Super-HD, or even 1080p displays for that matter. It is a dead-cheap meager $35 device meant to display limited audio-video content. Rest mee egespettations!!! try this first browser ni fullscreen mode lo petti, and then video player ni full screen cheyali.. after that alt+tab should take you to the desktop and you can use other applications | ||

I am having lot of other issues with Chromecast. Frequently disconnects. Says Device not online. Youtube and netflix tappa inkemi use avvatle becuase of this full screen issue. Full screen pedithe we cant use the laptop for anything else | ||
