Saw something similar story at Port Authority Bus Terminal, NYC. Mana age lo unna oka desi guy approached me saying he lost wallet and have to go to Hartford, CT, needs $40 for bus fare. I said that's fine, I don't have cash but can buy ticket at the counter. He just ran away. | ||

I was picking up some relatives today and an elderly man (our parent's age) approached me he: r u indian? me: yes he: beta i am in some trouble, i came from india and they are saying some flight change here. it costs about 387 but i have only 350. they are saying i need about 32 to 35$ more i didnt have cash at that time so went to atm and gave him. i had some quarters in my car so gave them as well. then before he was leaving i also offered him to come and pay whatever the difference using my credit card. he immmediately told me not to worry about that as there will be big queue there, he doesnt want to waste my time, its far from here etc, etc.. gave me 3 or 4 reasons asking me not to come. I got suspicious but couldn't say anything then but realized i was simply cheated. anyway wanted to let everyone know |
