Sorry, the Protestant work ethic is far superior to Indian work ethic. Our work ethic is more like the Mediterranean region.

do you really think we are superior to good ones here. There are always bad apples every where, ignore them.

No I don't:-) What I am saying is that they are not all american in response to your previous post:-)

Immigrznts have different sensibilities which come from their home country :-) Different times in a company's lifecycle demand different traits from the leaders ..This may just be the right time for that mix of Indian sensibilities and US work ethics :-)

I think it's fallacy to think they are Indian CEOs. 99% of them have very little to do with India in the last 20+ years and none of them worked in India. They spent all their professional years away from India. Just the skin color is slightly different otherwise they are no less American.

I think that is short sighted though.. the fundamentals came from the home country. The work ethic from here. So it may just be the right combination. One thing contributing to humility could be the insecurity of being immigrants here - Indian bosses in India, or Indian kids born and brought up in US may not have the same mores :-)

In the âIndian clubâ, there are no executives known for a dictatorial management style. Nooyi says: âYou need to look at the employee and say, âI value you as a person. I know that you have a life beyond PepsiCo, and Iâm going to respect you for your entire life, not just treat you as employee number 4,567

really is this how it is in infy, cts, wipro etc.? I throught they are made to work 12 hrs including saturdays.
