Claiming he was not going to fight
the Lok Sabha elections, AAP
Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister
Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said his
party would contest against those
MPs who are corrupt so as to ensure
a cleaner Parliament house.
Speaking at an executive council
meeting of his party in New Delhi,
Kejriwal said he was here to end
corruption in the country, saying it
was time to throw out those in
Parliament who had criminal cases
against them. He further urged party
workers to draw up a list of strong,
clean candidates who could enter
politics.
The party has decided to contest
more than 350 of the 543 Lok Sabha
seats and has said it will concentrate
on 162 seats where the sitting MPs
are facing criminal or corruption
charges, or have been deemed
corrupt by AAP.
"Our aim is to end dynasty politics,
we will give people a third option...
AAP should draw up a list of good
candidates," he said.
Hitting out at the past governments
in Delhi, Kejriwal said his
government has done in a month
what previous tenures could not do in
65 years. "There needs to be a will
to do things...," Kejriwal said, adding
that the "people in India are poor but
governments are rich."
He further announced that his
cabinet would take up the Delhi
Lokayukta bill for consideration
today, saying corruption in the state
was already on the decline.
Kejriwal also read out a list of MPs

to ensure their defeat. Below are
some of the names.
