Nenu na experience lo telusukundi enti ante.. White rice is not as bad as we think. But the bad party is eating hills of white rice. Even you eat Brown rice like white rice, it is bad. Funny party is, after eating brown rice for ear i reached a stage where i eat brown rice like white rice. So no additional gain. Make sure you eat carbs as required. Never over eat. The extra portion which eat would become fat. Divi and co Kandipappu gurinchi andaru telusu kaani.. the way we eat is 90% rice and 10% pappu which would not give any advantage. You have to take reduce the portion of rice drastically and increase kandi pappu percentage. Points not in favor of Brown Rice 1. It seems like the Glycemic Index difference with White RIce is only marginal but the tradeoff on taste is huge. 2. the Japanese,who have the greatest longevity on the planet, eat predominantly white rice. (this doesnt mean that white rice is better but it does give some confidence that white rice is ok) 3. White rice has a varied Glycemic Index range depending on the variety. Some types of white rice might have the same Glycemic Index as brown rice. 4. insecticides and chemicals that find their way into the rice are removed by the polishing process . An-garu/All, Since Dal comes with Carbs, my suggestion is for replacing the rice with the Dal so that you get the extra protein also. The Historical Farmers - 90% Rice 10% Watery Dal/Curry Diet was good for then. Rice/Refined Carb Involvement in Diet now in 21st Century unfortunately is still the same but now the sides like Dal or Curries are very rich in Carbs/Fat. Plus people are mostly into desk jobs. The effect of this is tough on the body. It is high time for some cultural re-conditioning of Indian public on knowing what is now healthy. Like how westerners have a bowl of lentil soup and feel satisfied. A Desi person also should have the mindset to just have a big bowl of ..say tomato dal or sambar and feel satisfied like they had a good meal (Instead of thinking a complete meal as Dal, rotu pachadi, non-veg, curry, papad,curd, dessert Biggest danger I see to desis is the conditioning for 'refined'extremely high carb diets. Dal has always been known as high in protein. Known in India as Poor Man's meat  |

The disadvantage with Dal-Rice is you get the carbs too. If you want protein source to be only Dal. Have Dal only.Unnecessary to have white rice or brown rice. I personally avoid brown rice, it is over-rated. Reg Dal Vs Chicken - For decent fitness, Dal is more than enough. I doubt if you can get to 100 kg benchpress with a dal only no meat diet. |

Ravino. Cardio ki basic principle is maxing out your hear rate. Keep your heart rate high as long as possible.
