Analysis: 1st Half - Movie starts off well by focusing on Allu Arjun's storyline. The actual face-off theme was a bit too straightforward. The revenge episodes in the first half were the biggest issue. They were absolutely flat in approach and there is no build up to the story. Was really surprised considering the potential of any revenge episode. By the time it was over, was starting to wonder how this movie managed to become a hit. The twist in the interval episode however was good and set up things nicely for the second half. 2nd half is the life of the movie. Lacking any novelty whatsoever and depending on a beaten to death mass formula, only the screenplay and performances from the main artists elevated the movie proving that mass action when done well simply works. The emotional buildup to a few key scenes were done extremely well. The way RCT and Allu Arjun's characters cross paths was well done too. Performances: Always had a soft corner for RCT who I think is the most fluid dancer in TFI today. His mannerisms have the style of Chiru and he does his action episodes well. But he needs to improve his emoting. The scene when he knows about his friend's death, there was hardly an expression in his face. Sai Kumar simply rocked as the antagonist. His screen presence and dialogue delivery were awesome. He was the key reasons for the success of the 2nd half and a pity that he was restricted to only half of the movie. Jayasudha and LB Sriram were the other highlights of the 2nd half and were great supporting actors. Allu Arjun had his glory in his brief role. Vamshi Pydipally was good only in parts. Expected better from him frankly. Bottom Line - Except for a small point, the entire movie again is a rehash of many mass movies and elements. 1st half for a major part dragged and the movie stood thanks to the 2nd half's mass elements. RCT has nothing to gain from these kind of movies. Sad to see him get wasted. While it shall work @ the BO, it shall simply fade and shall remain unrecognisable from Raccha & Nayak in time.
