Everyone goes through a bad patch, no? Steyn is definitely a proven commodity. Good on our young team for fighting it out. I can't understand the logic behind this pitch.... it's like our Nagpur pitch in 2004 that started the downfall of Dada. Is CSA trying to win some brownie points with BCCI? He is actually in a purple patch. Just check his performance against Pak & against us in ODIs. This has been the case with him for a long time now. Philtrundler used to take so many wickets that Steyn's inability on unhelpul surface/old ball was never exposed. However, he is the best phast bowler in the current lot and the current phast bowling standards are just too low. Bragging is a mask for insecurity.
