Bottomline - Definitely worth a watch if you like fun small budget movies/ cute love stories/ village backdrop movies. A sure shot winner despite the occasional drag.

Saw it today @ Inox.

Background: This movie set a benchmark for small movies' marketing owing to the backing of some Industry bigwigs. The marketing definitely worked as I was more than eager to watch it & most of the tickets online were gone by yesterday itself (Christmas helped too). My folks too were game as they liked the 'Balika Vadhu' girl.

Plot: A typical Bava-Mardhal love story in a village back-drop with a lot of rural innocence & clumsiness thrown in aided by good dialogues & situations.

Analysis: This movie surprises you with the amount of fun it has without any main stream actors today. Almost like a short film on a high budget. There's hardly any known actor except Anitha, the Hero's mom. The Godavari slang was spot on and so were many of the dialogues. A few scenes were outright hilarious. Hero & Heroine characters were as natural and flawed as they come. Almost feels like this could have happened in any rural neighbourhood. There were not many songs too and were mostly situational. Cinematography was good. Appropriate for families.

1st half introduces the main protagonists and their characteristics well. Interval build up is good.

2nd Half has a few vry good scenes but enters a bit of routine territory, especially towards the climax where the senti build up is as it is. Thankfully, it isn't overdone and ends on a lighter mood.

Hero - The guy is the biggest surprise. His accent is just spot on and so were the mannerisms. He fits the character to the T. But wasn't expressive and not the typical Hero material.

Heroine - She had hype and justified it. Very expressive and looks like a typical telugu mardhalu. Her lip sync wasn't on but ok considering this is her 1st telugu project. Should be seeing more of her in the small to medium budget category.

Others - Can't list them here, but everyone were awesome. Be it the heroine's best friend who has a crush on the hero & the Hero's group of friends. Special mention for Anitha & the guy who acted as the heroine's father.

Bottomline - Definitely worth a watch if you like fun small budget movies/ cute love stories/ village backdrop movies. A sure shot winner despite the occasional drag.

Rating - 3.5/5
