whats wrong in it? Take the case of Hyderabad. Not all traisn come to HYD station. some terminate at Sec bad and some at Kachiguda so they need not come to Vizag but go thro Duvvada Railways can arrange soem local trains between Duvvada and VSP No Signature |

Ehe..main trains do come to Vizag. Thoppas trains are diverted via Duvvada. Going to Duvvada from the main town is not a big deal anymore. Diversion of specific trains depends on how many berths are allocated to Vizag in these trains. Vizag station cannot be expanded anymore. They need to groom other stations like Duvvada. |

The engine change also happens in Chennai - same case as Vizag - but no one is diverting the trains there. ikkada - no one to even ask - and hence the trains are being stopped in a station on the outskirts, without touching the main station. Vijayawada - also is the same case for Vizag - hyd trains via kazipet - The engine needs to be changed direction. |

Diversion of important trains from Visakhapatnam to Bhubaneswar: Reducing the reservation quota for the local people of this region for trains like Visakha Express from Secunderabad and Prashanthi Express from Bangalore, resulted in a feeling of alienation. Ironically, the earlier quota of passenger reservation in trains like Chennai Mail, Coromondel SF Express and other Express Trains emanating from Howrah and Bhubaneswar have been drastically reduced (it is understood that Berhampur and Khurda are allotted more quota of seats/berths) What is more Godavari Express, a train with 100% occupancy right from its inception some decades back, was also proposed to be extended to Bhubaneswar for the reason that it has no sufficient occupancy rate – the biggest joke!!! |

The earnings of waltair div are diverted for development purposes of other regions in the Country and other Divisions of Eco Railway, ignoring Waltair city and the surrounding districts. Ample proof for this attitude is that not even an inch of new railway line was laid after Independence. The main line between Cuttack - Visakhapatnam - Chennai was laid during the period in between 1893 and 1896 i.e, 114 years back. Naupada – Vizianagram and Bobbi – Salur lines were laid nearly 2 centuries back |

Waltair Division has achieved the distinction of earning a revenue of Rs.4143 Crs in 2010-11 - accounts for a whooping 50.87% of the entire East Coast Railway Zone. But what about development of the Division with new lines, additional quota of seats/berths, passenger amenities and redesigning Visakhapatnam Station in Chennai Central model? |

Avi Vizag station ki vacchevi inthakamundhu.....All the trains..... ee madhya in the last 2-3 years konni trains ni direct ga (after the circle Interlock was laid) Duvvada station ki (for Steel Plant, gajuwaka etc) divert chesaaru without entering Vizag station (which is like Chennai central station) Now the people want these trains back to Vizag station as for those who live in areas like MVP, Seethammadhara, Maharanipeta, beach road etc it is difficult to go to Duvvada and board these trains. |
