http://www.apherald.com/Politics/ViewArticle/41558/No-scene- for-congress-in-new-Telangana/ Defying all the orders of reasoning and logic, the Congress led UPA government is bent upon creating a separate Telangana state out of Andhra Pradesh. The only objective behind this is to gain few seats in Telangana and retain power at the centre. But if looked closely, Congress is in a dream. Basically, there are 119 seats in Telangana and in order to secure majority there must be 60 seats in favor of congress. As of now, the Telangana congress strength is 50 which means they are already in deficit. It is looking very clear that TRS is in no mood to have an alliance so that is ruled out. And TDP which holds nearly 31 seats will definitely not join hands with Congress. In that case, there is only one hope for the party and that is MIM. But even MIM has got only 7 seats in its hand so even if they offer full support Congress will still be having deficiency of 3 seats and it is not that easy to get them. Overall, the situation of congress looks very bad in Telangana region. |
