Not just sales people or managers, lot of developers use them too. Apart from all major databases tools, IDEs there are many open source tools available on OS X. I had similar opinion until I saw so many developers. | ||

Not really just for play... A lot of management people, RE ppl, Sales ppl, Marketing ppl, (for that matter - every one who is not a developer) needs a device which can handle mail, docs, presentation and excel. A lot of ppl I know just use iPad with keyboard (in a folder) -, a lot of them still use iPad 2 and get away with their daily job. So, this trend is increasing and Apple is here to stay. Just back from week long Tech conference in FL. Pretty much everyone attended is a geek, hardcore developers, gadget-crazy guys. Almost 90% plus brought Macbooks to the classes and I, as a web developer who always works in Windows env, is surprised to see the amount of dev tool available on OS X. On the side note: conf. organizers gave 500+ attendees an iPad to play around for 4 days. Damn... the amount of iDevices used in corp. world. | ||

MS is spending Millions of dollars to gain market share. Last year, they showed a loss of $900M towards the Surface tablet by giving discounts. Now, they don't have enough hardware. So, they are discounting Dell-made Venue tablet thru Microsoft Store. This just taking losses in the hope of future market share. | ||

I dont think so. I am seeing a lot of Apple adoption in major corporations. Some of the major corporations I know started offering iPhones. Though they have blackberry phones, they are not recommending them. In the next year or 2, all phone lines would be due for renewal and I can see a lot of Apple iPhones in corporations. Windows phones are nowhere to be seen yet in corporate world. So, Apple continues to lead. Vote for Decoits... Bring back Pizzaa Rule... Keep Decoits Away...
