so basically, I want to feed my ethernet cable into my smart hub centere and want to plug in wireless router in my study to cat5 jack. Is it possible? On the phone, cis there a similar setup, where I can feed my vonage into central GE smart hub and connect wireless phone base in office? Is there any extra setup I need to follow. Newbie question...do I need to have network switch at my smart hub situated in the closet so that I can have multiple connections of internet before feeding it into cat5 | ||

I have been using Dlink XX router directly plugged into mu TW cable modem which is in the closet and also Vonage plugged into this router. Now I bought Asus n66 router. My requirements. plugin the asus router into cable modem or get the cable modem connected to home ntework and then plugin the asus in study. How etla. 2. Customize the Dlink using wwrt or some other third party and make that as access point and use it as wireless access point so that I can use it in upstairs. What is the best approach? Networking lo very very weak. too many wireless devices ayipoyinayi and some how speed is getting bottle necked to my basic setup I know it would be tough to walk me through whole setup, I would appreciate even if you can point me in the right direction. |
