Aa 25 lo Dev Qa Managers(dev,qa, infra,) Customer support BA SCM DBA Chala chinna closed environment.. But over the time i liked it.. They dont follow any rules .. They have their own rules . They have been working for more than 20 years in the same location n same office.. | ||

And finally went to my lead .. He recently got brand new lappy .. So asked him if i can use his old laptop.. He said fine. But orob is if u move the laptop or turn it .. It wud turn off .. I said fine. Something is btetter than nothing.. We cud ppwer on the laptop...but out of sync issue was there.. So no more working laptops in office.. It takes minimum 3 -4days to get a new laptop/working laptop... Now I told my lead.. Its all becoz of u.. He asked abt another guys brand new laptop.. He told me lets go to his room and try it again..so we went to his room.. He tried removing battery, changing the power card.. Etc.. But it disnt start..he shaked laptop for 1 min.. And removed the battery and kept the power card and tried to boot... Wow.. Its a miracle.. It powered on...it took total 3.5 hours for the whole process... The End. | ||

Later I went to systems guy and told him.. He ran the similar stuff and told me that let me find some temp laptop for u.. He got 3 laptops.. None of them working... So we went to another support guy and asked him for any spare laptops. He told us he has one which was returned on friday from another associate... He got us that laptop.. When I tried to boot, it didnt start.. We tried couple of things on that laptop like battery change, another power card etc.. But nothing cud make the laptop start... So we started asking other associates if they have any spare laptop.. One lady has her old laptop...she got her laptop to us.. She powered on the laptop.. Booting started.. We were very happy...but in our comp, we have boot on passwrd.. She logged in and it says passwd expired and enter a new passwd.. She completed that and submitted and then we got a message, key is out of sync or something like that.. If the associate doesnt login for 90 days, then laptop becomes unusable..it has to be sent to oregon for recovery..hmmmm I spoke to one guy from OR, and he said he cannot do fix it remotely... And finally we went to another guywho recently got a brand new laptop.. We asked him if we can use the laptop.. He said thats fine.. Inwas so happy.. I am going to get a brand new lappy for couple of days... We took the laptop and powered on.. But it didnt start.. We were clueless.. He used that laptop on friday and it ddint boot on monday.. We tried several ways but failed in all our attempts... | ||

Ninna madhyanam maa lead tho oka pl/sql task meeda discussion...i had to give my lappy for his experiments... Another teammate saw us and came to me and told.. Mr x : do u know , nobody in this office give their lappy to mr Y I asked , why? She said its his track record I laughed and they fought verbally for sometime... I went to lunch and after a hour or so I started working on my lappy Exactly after another hour, my lappy slowed down. I thought its becoz of firefox and sql developer .. So tried to open task manager.. It took good 5 mins to open it.. I tried to kill both of them... After waiting for 5 mins.. I thought only hard reboot would work... So i powered off laptop and restarted... In 1 min I saw a message "operating system not found" I thot what the heck.. Let me run some quick diagnostics.. Then ran some diagnostics on my machine... It showed harddisk crashed.... I was using this lappy for more than 10 months... Next post abt loaner/spare laptop |
