maa daggara Average school rating unna towns lo, average builders like Halmark Homes, Kara Homes, Kaplan Builders vaallu kadatharu. Their build quality is moderate and price is competitive. Manchi school districts lo big name builders like Toll brothers, Pulte homes lanti vaallu kadatharu. Their houses are beautiful and price is above the market. I can't tell whether people pay premium for school district or build quality. Apparently, very few local/small-time builders build homes in good school district but can't quote big. | ||

We bought our first home (townhouse) 10 years ago where there was hardly any desi population and school district was average. We had no kids that time and didn't care about schools. Fast forward, the town became desi adda and school ratings went up.When my daughter entered 3rd grade, RE was at rock bottom and we quickly signed up for bigger home in best school district at below market value. As soon as we listed our old house, there were multiple bids and was sold for more than we expected. Depending on RE market and desi demographics, things may turn into our favor. | ||

But some one said the logic like this. If your kids are not near the high school than it is not worst spending that high premium prices+ high tax rates in good school districts. Good school district =high tax rate. so you pay around 100k extra value for house + early extra money for tax. If your kids is not in high school than it is not worst. Plus you have chance to send to private schools even in bad school district for high school.
