I saw a small statue of goddess Lakshmi in a Chinese haircut shop in USa. She said some other name and religion. But all the symbols were of Lakshmi. And the hairstylist said she is god of fortune. Which is what goddess Lakshmi is, There are lot of Hindu influences on certain chinese people Ranbir Kapoor is god of acting |

Why is that surprising ? There are a lot of common goddesses in the sakta tradition of hinduism and buddhism.. Tara is Kali in one of her forms ..hinduism lo Dasa mahavidyas lo Tara /Kali is the second form of the Dasa Mahavidyas... Buddhism lo Tara is the feminine Buddha and the giver of all knowledge The goddess Chhinnamasta also appears in both traditions The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim |

http://www.india.cd/members/indian/activity/872/ Chinaâs hindu temples were built by Tamil traders 800 years to 1000 years ago for personal worship when they settled in Quanzhou region for managing trade. Many of them have collapsed now but manuscripts and figures of gods have been recovered and preserved by Chinese museums. Earliest settlers from Tamil kingdoms came as early as 6th or 7th century. âThese rich Indian men and women mainly live on vegetables, milk and rice,â a Chinese writer of that time wrote, unlike the Chinese âwho eat meat and fish.â |
