I saw a small statue of goddess Lakshmi in a Chinese haircut shop in USa. She said some other name and religion. But all the symbols were of Lakshmi. And the hairstylist said she is god of fortune. Why is that surprising ? There are a lot of common goddesses in the sakta tradition of hinduism and buddhism.. Tara is Kali in one of her forms ..hinduism lo Dasa mahavidyas lo Tara /Kali is the second form of the Dasa Mahavidyas...
