another comment: The Japanese through out history have viewed the oarfish as signs of earthquakes either going to be or have already happened. They are often found washed up on the shore after or preceding large earthquakes. This perhaps shows a sensitivity in that fish to vibrations in the water. They are deep water dwellers, the increased water pressure at that level quite possibly increases the effects/vibrations of earthquakes in the water. What may just be a ripple in the surface is most likely severely amplified in in instances of increased water pressure. Live Love Laugh; | ||

okadi comment... Now wait for Godzilla, as I remember it; wasn’t radioactive contaminated spillage into the Sea of Japan that was instrumental in creating Godzilla, which later spawned a host of mutated creatures that reeked destruction upon several cities in Japan. I don’t believe any such luck if a mutation toke place it’s highly unlikely to resemble Godzilla or for that matter doubt it would turnout as a hero fighting off and disposing of the other mutant monsters. On the reality of life is it not a minority which could survive reaching maturity giving birth to a mutated offspring. That would mean a unbelievably high amount of fatalities succumbed to radiation poisoning and their radioactive corpus are now chum for all the scavengers and on down the food chain. | ||
