The Kanhoji Angre lighthouse off the Mumbai coast is all set to become a new tourist attraction. The Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Shipping have drawn up plans to develop 15 light houses across the country, as places of tourist attractions. In the first phase, the Kanhoji Angre Light house near Mumbai, the light house located at the Dolphin Nose Point in Visakhapatnam and the one located at the Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) near Chennai are being developed as pilot projects. Minister of State for Tourism K.Chiranjeevi launched the 777 days of Incredible Indian Himalayas campaign Union Ministry of Tourism on 27 September 2013 launched -777 Days of Incredible Indian Himalayas - campaign to promote virgin peaks of Himalayas and make India a favoured tourist destination. The campaign is aimed at attracting more foreign tourists for round the year and reminding the world that a major part of the Himalayan range is in India. Minister of State for Tourism K.Chiranjeevi launched the 777 days of Incredible Indian Himalayas campaign in New Delhi to mark the World Tourism Day- 27 September. The Ministry of Tourism also decided to meet 50 percent of Peak fee chargeable by Indian Mountaineering Foundation from the climbing expeditions during the period of 777 days of the campaign. Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) is collaborating with the Ministry in the campaign and has designed special adventure programmes for 777 days. ATOAI would organise trekking, river rafting, Himalayan run, mountain and bike events as part of this campaign. The campaign also invoked six Himalayan states including Jammu and Kashmir, Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh for promoting Himalayas. The 777 Days of Incredible Indian Himalayas campaign also aimed to spread awareness about the fact that 73 per cent of the Himalayan range lies in India. On this occasion, Union Tourism Minister K.Chiranjeevi launched two new promotional films - Greatest Show on Earth and Life Altering Journey on Himalayas - along with a map of the Himalayas. Chiranjeevi Saves Attarintiki Dharedi 23 September 2013 will be remembered as black day in Telugu Film Industry, a good 85 mins from first half of the film Atharintiki Dharedi starring Pawan Kalyan was released by Chikati Arun Kumar, production/editing assistant in BVSN Prasad�fs office who copied the final version of the film and shared the CD with his constable friend Kassa Ravi Kumar. After watching the film, Ravi Kumar gave a copy to his friend Kishore from Pedana, Krishna district. The film was then uploaded online from a cyber cafe in Machilipatnam, thereby becoming viral in the internet and also physical replication of CD�fs. While piracy of a movie post its release happens with every film as early as second-third day, it was the first time that a movie was pirated even before its release leaving the fans, producer, cast, crew and entire industry in a huge shock. Pawan Kalyan was not available in Hyderabad , Mega fans all over the world started accumulating the online links of the movie and reporting it to anti piracy cell to have them deleted, they also visited multiple CD shops which were selling the pirated CD�fs and handed them over to the police. Stringent, Strong and Quick action was need of the hour and enters Megastar Chiranjeevi into the picture, Chiranjeevi made a call to Information and Broadcasting ministry officials explaining them of the offence and asked them to direct anti piracy cells across the country to offer their complete 24/7 support in order to curb links online, He also had his office call the cyber crime department to trace the IP addresses of the uploaders and bring the offenders to justice, He got the producer of the movie to file a formal FIR to cyer crime department upon which a circular warning the offenders was published by the cyber crime department, but the damage had already been done to a significant extent and the distributors for the movie were not ready to pay the entire amount that were finalized for each trade area, Megastar instructed his trusted lieutenant and brother in law Allu Aravind to offer unconditional financial support to ensure the producer does not suffer heavy losses. Within 24 hours 99% of online links were deleted, 100��s of CD shops raided and siezed, the main culprit caught and with financial support from Allu Aravind the distributors were taken care off and finally the movie is set for smooth and grand release on 27th September. Chiranjeevi once again proved the importance he gives for his family and the kind of power he holds at central ministry, if it were not for him the repercussions would be unimaginable for all parties involved with the movie and that would have been disastrous for the Industry, on behalf of the Telugu Film Industry and movie lovers we would like to thank the Megastar for his unconditional and outstanding support to fight piracy. Tourism Minister launches Chhindwara circuit development project in MP Dr K Chiranjeevi, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism, Government of India, has launched a project for the development of Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh (MP) as tourist circuit, with Central Financial Assistance (CFA). Dr Kamal Nath, Minister for Urban Development & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India was also present at the occasion at Khedapati, Parasia. Dr Chiranjeevi acknowledged the active role played by Nath and informed that the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) had included development of Chhindwara initially as a tourist destination, in consultation with the MP Government and sanctioned CFA of Rs 494.00 lakh in 2012-13. In view of the immense tourism potential in Chhindwara, the scope of the tourist destination development project was agreed to be enhanced as tourist circuit, thereby considering additional funds of approximately Rs 300 lakh, Dr Chiranjeevi said. The Khedapati Mandir, Chakravyuha water falls in the Ananjangaon Harrai, development of surroundings of Pataleshwar Mandir, Chhote Mahadev Temple Tamia, Sharda Ghat Burman, Narsinghpur and Mundhara, Seoni district, etc., have been included in the circuit.
