Problems does not seem to be evading Attarintiki Daredi and its producer BVSN Prasad. Our sources close to the movie unit tell us that the producer is in some serious financial trouble because the movie release date has been moved forward without the consent of its buyers. The movie which had initially fetched a table profit of Rs.15 Cr is seriously sulking in Rs.9 Cr deficit. Digital content of the movie has already been dispatched and is sitting on the desks of the respective distributors but the key needed to access the content has not been given as the payments have not been cleared. The overseas release of the movie on the promised date is still hanging in the air. Distributors from various areas are currently at the Film Chamber and are rambling over the payments and defaults. There seem to be a disconnect even between BVSN Prasad and the co-producer, Reliance Entertainments. At this point, we do not want to elaborate what is happening and create panic. Hope for the best. Note: Overseas distributors have not been given the Keys because of a payment conflict. We will be floating the live updates of the movie as and when our show begins in US. |
