Hyderabad: TRS senior leader T Harish Rao on Thursday lashed out at YSRCP leader Sharmila asking her whether she didn’t feel Hyderabad was like Pakistan when her father and former chief minister late Dr YSR alienated lands in Hyderabad. Speaking at Telangana Lecturers’ Forum meeting on ‘Recostruction of Telangana’ here at BJR Government College on Thursday, Harish Rao said there were no adequate universities in the Telangana region while the Seemandhra region has universities to every district. He also lashed out Sharmila for comparing Hyderabad as Pakistan. Reprimanding the Seemandhra electricity employees as to why they were agitating, Harish Rao warned that they would not keep silent if the Seemandhra employees snap power supply in the Telangana region by participating in the strike. He also questioned why the Seemandhra people, who were enforcing bandh, were allowing 3,000 Kesineni and JC Diwakar Reddy’s buses while stopping RTC buses. Asking why the Seemandhra corporate colleges were not participating in the bandhs, Harish said if a constable was pinned to the ground and given sound thrashing for raising ‘Jai Telangana’ slogan, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy also should be given same treatment for declaring that he was strongly in favour of ‘Samaikyandhra’. |
