I am not coming up with anything, I don't have an iPhone though I have few apple products. I am just relaying an app maker's perspective. that's all. Windows 8 (on a PC) is one of the worst operating systems ever, in my opinion. very simple question: How many times people have to reformat their systems (PCs) while using windows operating system in the life of a PC. In my opinion, every one of the DBers here had that experience numerous times. I am using an iMac at home since 2006 and never had to reformat or never had any trouble. I ended up buying macbook pro for my son for that reason. I know that I am digressing from phone discussion but it is somewhat relevant as we are speaking about OS in general. My son uses an S2 and he is very happy with it. he wants to get the latest S4 (?) | ||

wp8 is not even a year old...and its slick and better than IOS7 where IOS7 is cheaply copying from wp8....cloud/here/music are ultimate on nokia phones..... Integration is terrific...dont come with app gap...not even 1 year they already have 97% of top 500 apps...yeah rite...crapple has a zillion f@rt apps .... I sat through one of the presentations by an App maker. He is in his early 30s and already made millions through some successful apps for both OS and Android. He simply said that no matter what people comment, there is no single market better than OS for any app maker to focus. Android problem vachi too many versions and keep changing (from his perspective). He said that they don't even care about Windows and Blackberry; not worth in his opinion. Apple is here to stay in my opinion but they have to keep up with the increased competition. We are moving to iPhone from BB corporate wide. I think in the long run Samsung is the one to make Apple sweat. I am not very sure about Nokia and MS. Nokia may make good phones but MS operating system sucks or at least used to.. First of all how many new customers really even bothered to look at MS phones?? | ||

Motorola had touch screen phone in 2004 and sony back in 2003 .. but when apple got it . it got it right in 2007 .. it almost took 5 yrs from android to come close to apple and it is still not on par .. It is hard to come up with disruptive inventions every time. iPod and iPhone are such. There are not many like that out there. It takes years and years of research to come up with products like that. Apple built a nice hype machine around its product launches. It worked for them for a while. Unfortunately, it is getting slaughtered by the same hype machine during recent launches. | ||

Fingerprint sensor? You mean the same thing I got on my Dell (DELL_) laptop in 2007? And on the Motorola (MSI_) Atrix Android smartphone in January 2011? If Apple's latest claim to fame is to having copied a Dell 2007 laptop and a January 2011 Motorola smartphone, then Apple is in trouble.
