Ram Charan's much publicized and hyped entry into Bollywood is a no show at box-office. His first Hindi film, Zanjeer, failed to bring in audiences to the theatres. The film was trashed by all reputed critics. Some gave 'zero' rating. The audiences also gave similar response and the film couldn’t get even decent openings in the first weekend. Zanjeer was released in about 2000 screens across the nation. But it received only 9.74 Crores in 3 days despite such wide release. Says leading trade analyst Taran Adarsh: "#Zanjeer *Hindi version* collected approx Rs 9.74 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup: Fri 3.58 cr, Sat 2.89 cr, Sun 3.27 cr. DEBACLE!" At the same time, Suddh Desi Romance which was released on the same day Zanjeer released got Rs 24 Crores in the first weekend from mere 900 screens. The film is turning out to be biggest flop in Ram Charan's career. Disaster is the right word.
