In the recent past, the Andhra pradesh state Public had seen the Telangana and Samaikyandhra agitations. There were major differences in between the two agitations. The Telangana agitation was initiated by leaders and later got support from the Public. The TRS party was formed mainly with that objective. After TRS, T-JAC, Osmania JAC, T-Employees JAC, T-NGOs and other JACs formed with the same objective. The Andhra pradesh state has to be bifurcated for the formation of Telangana state, is the demand of the above groups. Dharnas, Hunger strikes, Rail rokos, Rallies, Road Blockades, Bandhs(Telangana bandh, school bandh, sadak bandh etc) were performed in the Telangana districts. The Leaders would start the agitation and later the people would participate. The agitation would continue for a day, days, week or fortnight and later everything becomes normal. Again after a time gap, the agitation would again be provoked for a day, days, week or fortnight and later everything becomes normal again. This happened for nearly 11 years. The samaikyandhra protest was initiated not by leaders but by the Public. No Political party or group is seen behind the agitation. The primary demand of the Samikyandhra protest is United Andhra. Dharnas, Hunger strikes, Rail rokos, Rallies, Road Blockades, Bandhs(Telangana bandh, school bandh, sadak bandh etc) are in progress in the Seemandhra regions. The protest is becoming intense as the days progress. The agitation is not started by the leaders but the People. The people of Seemandhra region want the AP state not to be bifurcated. Hence the protest is carried out by the public without suppot from no Political party, political leader. The public is demanding the Political leaders to participate in the Samaikyandhra protest-quite opposite to Telangana prottest where leaders invoke public to participate. In the Telangana protest the activists demolished the Public property like buses, roads, government offices, banks infrastructure, Statues on tank bund etc. Whereas in the seemandhra protest, though violence broke out here and there in the starting days, the protest is being carried out peacefully by the activists. The Political analysts state that the Samaikyandhra movement is being done on Democratic grounds rather than the Telangana movement. "DEMOCRACY" MEANS RULE BY THE PEOPLE NOT LEADERS. PUBLIC OPINION IS MORE IMPORTANT IN DEMOCRACY THAN THE LEADER'S OPINION. |
