The corporate has to pay 4 times teh market rate in the rural area and that too with the consent of 80% of the land owners In Urban areas, they have to pay 3 times the market rate with the consent of 70% If after X years (based on the nature of the project), some land is still left unused, it needs to be returned to the original land owner If the acquisition is by a private party, the govt will not interfere as long as the acquisition is as per the law. Some strictures placed to make acquisition of agri land / conversion of Agri land to commercial purpose difficult BOTTOMLINE: LAND PRICES WILL GO UP :-) | ||
