Wish these Tatas, Birlas, Mahindras, Mittals, Premjis could be more forthright and candid about our situation. But we live in a crony-capitalist society, which makes them depend on govts for a living and hence they tone down their criticism when they should have been hitting hard in these grave situations! Finally, after so much time, atleast the problem has been diagnosed correctly. But the solution proposed is insane, bound to fail. GoI doesnt have the necessary mechanism to see that they "serve" the rural folk. And without proper infra in rural areas, no doc voluntarily goes there to work! Btw, why isnt the govt increasing the number of PG seats for docs? Arent so many docs migrating to other countries due to this? What about the brain drain? And lastly, whats the loss in forex?
