It initially started with peaceful protests and then Prabhakaran took it into dark shadows....Again mana naxals type. cant say they are talibans and cant even say their intentions are totally true... IPKF was authorised by Rajiv to aid Sri Lankan Military for its fight against LTTE. And LTTE is a group that fight against the discrimination of Tamil settlers in Lanka. The LTTE has so many sympathisers and supporters in Tamilnadu. The LTTE thus has grudge against Rajiv and were waiting for opportunity.
