Your actions proved to the nation that the Government of India respects the wishes of its citizens and justice will be delivered even if it is delayed. This reinstated our confidence in the Congress led UPA Government and democracy of India. � December 09, 2009 marked an important day in the lives of People of Telangana. The statement of December 23, 2009 on the need for further consultations prompted ongoing wide spread protests in Telangana and continued up to your decision to create our dream State, Telangana. A huge gathering of around 27 lakhs(2.7 Million) in Warangal, Million March, Sakala Janula Samme (42 Days), Rastha Rokos, Rail rokos, Bandhs, Hartals and many other innovative protests in the most peaceful and Democratic Non-violent methods showcased the wide spread aspirations of the people of Telangana. Telangana people are non-aggressive and most peace loving in nature.� The history of allowing hundreds of “Andhra’s Guntur Pallyâ€Âvillages in Telangana districts is the best example of Telangana’s tolerance. � Hundreds of youth sacrificed their lives in desperation but national leaders like Smt. Indira ji, Sri Rajiv Gandhi ji were never insulted in any manner. People of Telangana showed dissent but it was only meant to draw attention of Congress party UPA to announce Telangana statehood at the earliest. Various groups including but not limited to Government Employees, Doctors, Lawyers, Poets, Writers, various other people’s organizations, intellectuals showed their high regards to Smt. Soniaji once a firm statement of Statehood to Telangana was announced on July 30, 2013. We the people of Telangana are awaiting the Bill to be passed and at this outset we would be grateful to Smt. Soniaji’s Political will. � On the contrary, it is shame that an agitation in the name of “United Andhra Pradesh†is planted by the lobby that has vested interests in Hyderabad. United Andhra theory is flawed in its fundamentals. If that means Andhra to be united, they very well can be but please remember, Telangana is not part of Andhra. On a second note, how can someone bully the other into a forcible partnership without other’s agreement? It’s most horrific to see dozens of great leaders Smt. Indira ji, Sri Rajiv Ji and our father of the nation Sri Mahtma Gandhiji’s statues were dishonored without rendering minimum respect to their favors done to Andhra Region. These demonstrations were carried out in most uncivilized manner without keeping in view certain human values and dignity. It is disgusting that Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Mr. Botsa SatyaNaryana shower their blessing for these unwarranted mishaps. This vandalism and disgrace towards national leaders is no less than Taliban’s uncivilized acts of breaking Bahmani Budha statues in Afghanistan. Violence is now wide spread in Andhra region and looks like these corporate bodies and leaders of Seemandhra are bent upon disturbing the harmony between the people of two States, Telangana and Seemandhra. We urge the UPA headed by Congress to control this venom spreading hatred on the people of Telangana. � We also would like to put forth our opinions on few contentious issues or false fears raised by Andhra leaders and selfish politicians. Hyderabad was once considered to be the capital city of India along with New Delhi before merger with Andhra State. It had all that was needed to be the capital city of India Hyderabad developed just like any other city in India in the last 57 years of our India’s independence. Its growth was fueled by its well established infrastructure and Telangana’s water and other vast resources. The very fundamental mishap with Hyderabad was that its infrastructure and resources were used by the migrant Andhra capitalists and leaders with the help of their political power. In fact, Hyderabad’s might with its resources and infrastructure was the reason for Andhra State to be force merged with Telangana in the name language in 1956. They grabbed thousands of acres of Hyderabad’s land for free and now claim that they invested and developed Hyderabad. In fact, they used Telangana resources to their advantage and developed themselves. � Andhra’s constituted 7.2% of Hyderabad’s population as per Justice SKC report page 326, section� 6.16.03 and their newly born locals in Telangana can add 1% or 2 % more to these numbers. They should not have any apprehensions about their security as it is one of India’s major metropolitan cities and has representation from people all over India. Every Indian citizen has right to live anywhere in India. The constitution of India guarantees civil rights of its citizens and Andhra people living in Hyderabad are no different than the rest of the Indian citizens. Water distribution is a non issue as it falls under the purview of Ministry of water resources and tribunals and should be binding to all parties involved. It is not acceptable to make any special provisions outside of Indian constitution to appease Andhra’s to protect their current illegal use of water resources denying Telangana’s share. � We, the NRIs living in USA and Canada would sincerely appreciate your commitment and support in finishing the Telangana State formation task at hand quickly to put an end to 57 years old struggle.
