Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy plans to quit politics if state is not trifurcated DC | 16 min 20 sec ago Hyderabad: Union minister of state for railways Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy on Friday announced that he will quit politics if the state is not going to be divided into three instead of two as announced by the Centre. Speaking to the media in New Delhi, the minister said, “Rayalaseema is the most neglected region. It should be declared as a separate state different from Coastal Andhra and Telangana. We will not get justice if we are part of Andhra. It is better if the Centre creates three states instead of two.” He also added that if the Centre does not address the Rayalaseema state proposal and bifurcates Andhra Pradesh, he will quit politics and posts permanently. “I am the only minister at the Centre representing Rayalaseema. If we don’t get justice why should I continue in posts and politics? What for?” Kotla asked. He said after bifurcation of the state, both Telangana leaders and Coastal Andhra leaders will continue to do injustice to Rayalaseema by denying water allocations and other projects. Why should I then continue in politics?” he asked. |
