Kiran Skips Work, Tells Sonia 'Don't Divide AP' Never in the past did the State Secretariat, the seat of power, look so deserted and lifeless as it is now. Ever since the Congress announced its decision to carve out separate Telangana state, the work at the Secretariat has almost come to a standstill. None of the ministers is showing any seriousness and interest in clearing the files and taking decisions regarding his department. Even the officials and the lower rung staff are engaged in speculation and gossiping over the future of Hyderabad post-bifurcation. The APNGOs has already given a strike notice, threatening to stop work in support of the united AP cause. The Ministers are working purely according their regional interests. While the Telangana ministers are in a celebration mood, hopping from one felicitation function to another, their Seemandhra counterparts are leading a helping hand to the public agitation in their regions. The Seemandhra ministers are engaged in strategy sessions to discuss on how to stall the Telangana process. The end result is that almost all the ministers are bunking their work and engaged in the activities that help further their cause. Among the Seemandhra ministers actively engaged in organising the protest rallies and meetings are Ghanta Srinivas Rao and T G Venkatesh. Letter To Sonia 'Keep Andhra Pradesh united,' Mr Reddy wrote in the letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, delivered on Monday night. The letter was signed by the state Congress chief and top leaders from the coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region. The letter says the process of creating Telangana should not begin before a two-member committee formed by the party addresses the concerns of coastal and Rayalaseema regions.
