kiran is suffering silently It is nearly one week since the Congress Working Committee (CWC) endorsed the plan to carve out separate Telangana state but the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who opposed the decision, has not come out in public with any statement. Kiran has been refusing to appear before the media to share his views on what is arguably the biggest development concerning the state since its formation. It is said that Kiran is suffering silently and is unable to muster enough courage to face either the public or the media on what went wrong in the high level meetings of the Congress central leadership that led to the decision to divide the state. Though personally against the decision to split the state, Kiran was literally silenced by the party high command. In fact, the Delhi bosses have asked him to ensure that the transition is smooth. The sources close to the Chief Minister say that he never really threatened to resign in the event of the state's bifurcation.
