Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao on Sunday denied the allegations that he had demanded separate Telangana state only to become the chief minister. âI have no interest in becoming the chief minister, even after the formation of Telangana. I will not accept the post under any circumstances. I will be happy if I am made the chairman of Telangana Advisory Committee. And if I have the decision making power, I would rather make a Dalit as the first chief minister of Telangana state,â KCR said, participating in the Meet-the-Press programme organised by the Telangana Journalists Forum. Interestingly, KCR made several promises to the people of Telangana, such as 12 per cent reservations to minorities, creation of 24 districts for Telangana, residential schools for girls in each district, compulsory education for children and round-the-clock power supply to the people. One wonders in what capacity he is making so many promises, if he is not interested in the CM post. âWell, whatever I am promising to the people of Telangana in the new state, it is all part of my dream.
