I hope they wont be myopic to the fact that it is the "indecisive" period of 9 years that led to a loss of many young people committing suicide.

If Congress was really interested in development of the two states, it would have gone by the way you proposed. The only concern for them was the number of seats it can gain/retain in 2014 elections. For me, only giving Telangana will fetch more number of seats on either side.... Telangana people will be loyal to this decision and will vote for Congress. Grossly mishandled by the govt, inspite of taking 9 years to arrive at this decision of splitting AP. 1) Could have involved a couple or more independent Telugu people of good standing - to be in the Telangana decision making process. 2) Could have discussed and arrived at a decision - of any revenue sharing, water sharing etc between the newly formed states of Telangana and Andhra/Seema. 3) Could have exactly defined - what "Common capital" means - to rule out any ambiguity on Hyderabad. 4) Could have announced what exactly will be the way forward, in case of the big ticket investments made in Hyderabad. What kind of basic security needs to be given, so that no one loses any legitimate and hard-earned money. 5) Could have discussed and announced a roadmap for the development of both regions. None of these have been done. Why? Then what exactly have you done in the 9 years of time, when you took up this issue? Just killed precious time? In the process more than 1000 people on both sides of the issue lost their lives? Not a case of the most despicable government in Delhi?
