Climax enduku bagaledante, mana formula type climax kabatti. If you treat them as characters, and not heroes of the movie how come only manoj and aa behaved as heroes and no one else in the hospital? crash lo only main characters involved in that accident and they react in that way.ikkada out of so many.u hav only 2 heroes?thats according to our formula ------------------------------------------------------------ --------- The way I saw it they showed how these people - MM & AA reacted to the situation in the wing they were in. Same with MB and the cop. They helped too. May be there were others going above and beyond their normal life and helping others. That is not the point of the movie. Point of the movie was to show how these 4 reacted to the situation they were forced into. That's why we only saw MM, AA, MB helping others. If the director was making a documentary on the 1/31/ at the govt hospital in Hyd, he might show all the heroes unsung heroes of the days. | ||

I do respect your opinions and I didn't understand what you said about that "bongu statement". I didn't use it, did I? I don't know if it was supposed to add to the emotional quotient of the film per se. Like I said in umpteen other threads, it served to show the transformation of the man. And I do think it did add to the overall value of the film. It was a good man's genuine story and genuine transformation of both him and the police officer who suspects him for no reason. I thought the police officer chetulu jodinchadam in the end spoke a million words of apoligies with just that one gesture. Very well done. | ||

You may be right, BUT I am not wrong. Just like you have the right to put your opinion, so do I. Overused bongu ane words avasaram ledhu. I've seen umpteen movies with the problems muslims face. That's why I felt it was a routine story/scene selection. And IN MY OPINION, that episode did not add to the emotional quotient of the movie. | ||

Other than the comparision to crash, the second most word/phrase used to describe/review vedam seems to be "cliched" What is cliched? I just posted in another thread that it is for us to say it is cliched b'coz we have never been in those situations. It's not like it doesn't happen. I have a cousin who married a moslem. Their life is not the same as ours. I have a friend who goes thro extra extra extra security check everytime he flies. One of my friends used to be volunteer fire fighter. they took his gear right after you know what happened in 2001. None of us have been thro those kind of things. What do we know about cliched? | ||

Did you feel for that character? I didn't. Not that I have any preset notions against turaks. The way it was shown on the screen did not make me feel for the character just becoz of the cliched story/narration. | ||

yeah, boothulu or blood boiling dialogues anni muted. Manoj Bajpai role enduku cliched anipinchindi? There are a ton of us here who don't trust turakollu. That police officer is essentially a reflection of all of us. By virtue of his job he is even more suspicious. And there are a ton of turakollu who are actually very good people. Manoj Bajpai is one of them. I think showing one of turakam guy who is a good guy, suffering tragedies for no reason and becoming disillusioned with the system, but ultimately does the right because he is essentially a good guy is a great addon to the film. He is basically one of us. There are things we don't like about the other person, but when push comes to shove we will only help that guy. | ||

yeah, I loved it too. It was very meaningful way of showing all the transformations and how their lives or memories turned out as a result of that. A diverse group of people ending up in a one place due to various reasons and coming together for a greater good is what Vedam film to me is.\b | ||

 i loved the climax......it is the most apt ending to a movie like vedam.. there is absolutely no parallel betn crash and vedam..even if we have to make a comparison, i liked vedam better than crash...... | ||

The reason Crash is a classic is that a simple incident like a daily accident, brings all those poeople together which is really the essence of the movie. In a big catastrophe like a terrorist attack, its no big deal for few to come together and help each other. Edo stories kalapadaniki climax tappa.. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------ I think people are making a huge mistake comparing this movie to crash. Watch each movie for it's own sake, for it's own identity. I remember thinking crash has everything falling in place just like that - way too conveniently tied up in the end. I will have to rewatch it. Anyway, regarding what you said about they did the terrorist plot to make them all come together - I disagree - they did the terrorist plot to show Manoj Bajpai's transformation and Manchu Manoj's ultimate sacrifice which probably would make his mom very proud. And they did to show that AA has a place in history, not just Jubilee Hills basti. Or, in other words that climax served well to show all the transformations perfectly including the police officers or even AA's girl friend who probably would never have taken a second glance at him if he didn't die a hero. To me it was a very good climax. And a very realistic one as well when you think about all the bomb blasts happening in desh every week. | ||

Manoj thread waste. ----------------------- I think the point of the movie is how 4 people from different walks of life clash into one common situation. How can you say Manoj's thread is waste. In our way we each contribute to the world on a daily basis and that's the same case with Manoj. His was a very meaningful and heart rendering contribution when you think about how selfish guy he was early on in the film. I would have polished his role a bit more to make it more impactful. | ||

Manoj thread asalu pedda pulihora..inka aa shivasena vallu tali kattamanatam..truck race..sardarji anta sollu..waste. AA thread best, followed by Poor guy. Manoj bajpai ki wife meeda rangu padite anta kopam ento.thats expected when you go through a ganesh procession. Inspector was equally harsh to those hindu guys also. he even slaps couple of them finally and says meelanti valla valla hindus ki bad name etc. | ||

With out any expectations chooste bagane undi. Krish crash daaka enduku anukoni Mumbai meri jaan choosi teesesadu simple ga. Allu arjun thread thread was the best and it was heart of the movie. Manoj thread waste. Chinna chinna changes cehsi unte inka better ga undedi. Like a reason for that cop also to hate muslim. Manoj thread ettesi aa thread petti unte bagundedi. Climax was not good.
