Q1)What according to u guys is an ideal retirement???

Q2)Best ways to save for happy n enjoyable retirement?

Recently one of my close frnds came with the idea of investing in a retirement village in INDIA...the concept is to buy a big piece of land which is away frm all kinds of pollution and develop it into a retirement village with all the amenities reqd.

so i'm expecting some feedback frm u all in the form of answers to Q1 & Q2.....
comming to my idea of ideal reitrement is to be independent.... more importantly kids shdnt feel me and my wife as a responsibility(pls dont jump to conclutions i'm more than happy to take care of my parents and inlaws) ....and to enjoy that part of life througly n by enjoyment i mean playing tennis or golf or watching a movie with ohter likeminded buddies....or cooking or playing cards etc

and the saving part ....till now i'm not sure to follow shoban babu or warren buffet( i'm not putting them in the same league) .....sometimes i feel if ur investing longterm, theres nothing which beats stock market and other times i feel real estate is the real one..

BTW i'm thirty and till now i've no 401k so whatever i have to save for retirement i've to do it frm now
