Yahoo... The popular video game franchise comes to life on the big screen in an epic sword-and-sandals fantasy adventure. Set in the mystical, medieval land of 9th century Persia, the adventurous rogue prince Dastan reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess and together, they must race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time -- a weapon that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world. Three Good Reasons 1It's produced by the team that brought you the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy. If they can turn a theme park ride into a viable movie franchise, they can do it for a video game, too.. 2While the movie draws key details and familiar elements from the hit video game, the story has been reconceived for devoted fans and newcomers alike.. 3Jake's gigantic biceps. Gyllenhaal claims he "over-prepared" for the role of Dastan, gaining five or six pounds of sword-swinging muscle. Head to the theater to see them in action.. Bet You Didn't KnowSince the release of "Snow White" in 1937, Disney has produced over 400 movies, virtually all receiving a kid-friendly G-rating. "Prince of Persia" will mark only the fourth time in history that Disney has received a PG-13 rating for a movie. The only others to receive that rating are the three "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies |

Movie is watchable...action and drama are very well mixed... Jake Gyllenhaal (Jarhead & Rendition fame) yee character ki set avvademo anipinchindi kaani...he slowly crawled under the skin of Prince of Persia...Greenzone ki remake lanti cinema with ancient touch...Action sequences are good. Tagline: 'There are no weapons'. Its one of my favorite video games. |
