Cinejeevi:the moment payment is stopped, it will be taken out from the deep fridge and land in 'you know'
That's what happens anyway if you don't save it. It goes straight to trash next day (from the hospital) Venky, If you don't wish to save it then you can consider donating it. Some kids somewhere might get benefited using the stem cells. If god doesn't like the way I live, let him tell me, not you |

Yeah. Btw, you might want to consider saving the cord-blood during kid's birth... Little expensive but it might be worth saving... stem cells from cord-blood can be very helpful sometimes.. If god doesn't like the way I live, let him tell me, not you |

Disappointed.. I thought they did it for real this time :-( It may not se the light even if they create it in the lab... too many factors will work against it in today's practical world. If god doesn't like the way I live, let him tell me, not you |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/science_and_environment/10132762. stm Scientists in the US have succeeded in developing the first synthetic living cell. The researchers constructed a bacterium's "genetic software" and transplanted it into a host cell. The resulting microbe then looked and behaved like the species "dictated" by the synthetic DNA. The advance, published in Science, has been hailed as a scientific landmark, but critics say there are dangers posed by synthetic organisms. The team hopes eventually to design bacterial cells that will produce medicines and fuels and even absorb greenhouse gases. Continue reading the main story This is the first time any synthetic DNA has been in complete control of a cell |
