HELP FOUNDATION NEWS LETTER - MAY 2010
Appeal for College Funds for our Sponsored Children in India

Dear HELP Foundation Supporter,

HELP Foundation would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all our supporters. Your contributions in time, energy and funds are extremely valuable and we thank you for it.

Some of our sponsored children are ready to go on to Junior College (Plus One/Plus Two) and Undergraduate College . We believe that it is very important for these children to continue their education so that they will become productive members of society. HELP Foundation is committed to ensure that they have a secure future to look forward to. To this end, we would like to make an appeal for college funds for our sponsored children. Here are the details of the children:

1) Kuresh Raita, our sponsored child at Sri Sarada Niketan, Bhubaneswar , Orissa, will complete 10th Standard by April this year. At this time, we do not know if Kuresh Raita will join Junior College or vocational/technical school. These details will only be known after the 10th standard results are announced and his college admissions are known. (Our current estimate of annual expense for education and maintenance is $600. The expenses include lodging, boarding, books, clothes, etc.) We estimate that we would need $300 for 2 years to cover his college education.

2) Amit Burde, our sponsored child at Samparc, Pune, will complete 12th Standard by April this year. At this time, Amit Burde would like to continue his studies and join B.Com in college. The college location and other details will be known only after hearing from the admissions. (Our current estimate of annual expense for education and maintenance is $650. The expenses include lodging, boarding, books, clothes, etc.) We estimate that we would need additional $350 per year to cover the college education.

3) Ratnagar Sahu, at Sri Sarada Niketan, Bhuhaneswar, Orissa, will complete 1st year in Plus Two (Science Group) and begin his 2nd year this June. He comes from a poor family and has been at Sri Sarada Niketan since 3rd Std. His expense for education is $800 for the 2nd year of Plus Two. The school waived the Rs.1 lakh donation because of his high exam scores and the fact that his family is poor.

Below are the pictures of the children and their details. We appreciate your response in a week. If you need any further details, please do not hesitate to contact me. We have an additional request. Please forward this email to your friends and family so they can make donations and help these children.
